‘Powerful’ player suddenly spotted with Leandro Trossard just hours after he was offered to Arsenal

Arsenal have been offered several players in this summer’s transfer window.

The Gunners have not been as active as their fans would’ve liked, but they have brought in Illan Meslier and Christos Tzolis.

Arsenal still need another winger, a midfielder and potentially a defender to replace William Saliba following his back injury.

To cover the last of those roles, Zeno Debast has been offered to Arsenal.

Who should replace William Saliba at Arsenal if his injury rules him out for months?

Zeno Debast spotted with Leandro Trossard after being offered to Arsenal

Debast has been a regular for Sporting CP since he joined them in 2024.

The 22-year-old is a very good defender who is great on the ball, a brilliant passer and is capable of playing in multiple positions.

Arsenal need someone who can do a job at centre-back as well as right-back, which is why Ezri Konsa is being targeted by the Gunners this summer.

That move is unlikely to materialise because of the difference in valuation between the two clubs, which is probably why others are being offered.

Reports claimed on Thursday that Arsenal have been given a chance to sign Debast from Sporting CP this summer.

Just a few hours later, the defender posted a picture and a video on his Instagram story, where he and former Arsenal star Leandro Trossard are on jet skis.

The two Belgians seem to be holidaying together in Spain following the World Cup in North America.

So far, Arsenal have not made any moves to sign Debast, but there seems to be an option to strike a deal if they have any interest in him.

Mikel Arteta can always lean on Trossard to know more about his compatriot, even though the former doesn’t play for Arsenal anymore.

Debast, hailed as a ‘powerful’ player, wouldn’t be the worst option as a backup, but we feel there are better options out there.
