One top flight side are now preparing to launch a move to prise one player away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Arsenal will have to make sales in this summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his squad at the Emirates Stadium this summer, but will need to make space for new arrivals by offloading players.
Arsenal are expecting Aaron Ramsdale to leave this summer. Arteta is also keen to move on Thomas Partey. On top of that, the Gunners are open to offers for Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, and Reiss Nelson.
This trio of Hale End academy graduates have all struggled to establish themselves as regular starters for the North London club, and the argument could be made that each of them now needs to move on order to get their careers back on track elsewhere.
Fulham could now be set to offer Smith Rowe an opportunity to get back to playing week in, week out in the Premier League.

Fulham ready to rekindle interest in Arsenal ace Emile Smith Rowe
Fulham have shown an interest in signing Smith Rowe in the past. Now, the Cottagers are preparing a bid for the 23-year-old midfielder.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, reporting on his Patreon, Fulham will now make a “new bid” for Smith Rowe, using the significant funds that the sale of Joao Palhinha is set to bring in to Craven Cottage, as reported by BBC Sport.
Fulham are desperate to secure Smith Rowe’s services, and apparently “won’t take no for an answer” from the 3-cap England international. However, the Gunners will only let him go if their asking price is met.
Meanwhile, Smith Rowe himself remains willing to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place in Arteta’s plans.
Smith Rowe still trying to convince Arteta of his future at Arsenal
Smith Rowe is one of several Arsenal stars currently working with Arteta at a training camp in Marbella. He will be keen to use this opportunity to prove his fitness and ability to contribute for the Gunners.
However, it could well be the case that the manager’s mind is made up and that Smith Rowe has been earmarked as a player that needs to make way in order to facilitate new signings. If that is the case then the Spanish coach will be hoping that Fulham come forward with an appropriate offer.
