According to a report from Il Milanista, Arsenal have put an offer on the table to sign Hakan Calhanoglu from AC Milan on a free transfer this summer.
The 27-year-old Turk is in his prime and will be available for free at the end of this season.
Milan are doing everything they possibly can to renew his contract, but the report claims that their offer is £860,000 short of Calhanoglu’s demands.

That has opened up an opportunity for other clubs to swoop in.
Italian champions Juventus are interested in Calhanoglu, as are London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, who will no longer have money coming in from the Super League.
The report claims that the Gunners and the Blues have tabled an offer for Calhanoglu. Both clubs would love to see him make a move next summer, but neither side’s offer is even close to the player’s demands.

It is claimed that the two clubs’ offer isn’t even as good as the offer the Turk has from Milan at the moment.
That is a surprise as Calhanoglu’s demands are just about £83,000-a-week – the same salary that Pablo Mari is currently earning. (Spotrac)
If Arsenal really are keen, signing Calhanoglu should not be a problem. However, would the fans really fancy another free transfer after what has happened with Willian last summer? That’s a debate for another day.
