Just when rumours about Lionel Messi taking a 50% wage cut to stay at Barcelona emerged, Hector Bellerin has decided to do the same, but to leave Arsenal.
The Spaniard has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates after 10 years in North London. The Arsenal vice-captain has been a great servant, but it’s the best time for him to leave, and it looks like he’s desperate.
Bellerin has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan. The Serie A champions are on the lookout for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi, who recently completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Bellerin, to push this deal through, has decided to sacrifice a huge chunk of his wages.
Hector Bellerin agrees to halve his wages to secure Arsenal exit
The Spaniard currently earns £5.72 million per year (£110,000-a-week) at Arsenal. (Spotrac) That is a lot of money for Inter to fork out considering their financial problems at the moment, but Bellerin has agreed to help them out now.

TuttoMercatoWeb reveal today that the Arsenal full-back has offered to reduce his wages to £2.98 million (£57,000-a-week).
That’s almost a 50 per cent wage cut, which shows just how desperate he is for a change of scenery.

The report claims that Bellerin always dreamt of living in Milan, a city where his family have worked for generations. Inter would be a great club for him, but they’ll have to meet Arsenal’s demands first.
