It is no secret that Arsenal will try to bring in a new striker in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are expected to sell both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah at the end of this season. Folarin Balogun’s future is up in the air as well which leaves us a little short up front.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be our main man but apart from him and Gabriel Martinelli, we will be without a natural number nine.

That will force Edu to dive into the market for a new number nine and Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard has been heavily linked over the last few days. However, he isn’t the only one on our wish list.

Milan News 24 claim today that Arsenal are eyeing a move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Andre Silva. The Portuguese international has been in fine form in Germany having scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 23 appearances.
Silva’s performances have made him a fan favourite in Frankfurt. His boss, Adi Hutter, compared him to Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski earlier this year. (Portugoal.net) That is massive praise considering that the Polish number nine is statistically the best striker on the planet at the moment.
Arsenal Insider’s view:
Andre Silva has been in the headlines ever since he was at Porto. He came through the ranks there and after just 58 games for the Portuguese giants, he secured a big move to AC Milan for an eye-watering £33.6 million. (Sky Sports)

He had a tough time in Italy and was shipped on loan to Sevilla, but his luck didn’t change there either. He was sold to Eintracht Frankfurt last summer for just under £8 million – over £25 million less than what they paid for him. (AC Milan Info)
He has been a huge star for Frankfurt this term and it is only a matter of time before he secures a big move again.
It would be a gamble for Arsenal considering his failed spells at Milan and Sevilla. However, with Auba leading our line for at least two more years, Silva might just be a risk worth taking this summer if Lacazette is sold.
