According to a report from Spanish outlet Sport, French champions Paris Saint-Germain remain the likeliest destination this summer for Arsenal star Hector Bellerin.

The Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal in recent weeks. He has played just once in the Premier League since the start of March, and it looks very likely that Edu, Mikel Arteta and co will cash-in on him this summer.

Bellerin has been with us ever since he was 16 years old. He will soon complete 10 years at the Emirates, and he has been nothing but a loyal servant to Arsenal Football Club. However, it’s now the right time for both parties to move on.

The report claims that although both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked, a move to the French capital is more likely in the upcoming summer window.

PSG chief Leonardo has been in talks with Bellerin’s agent, according to the report. He has requested some time to decide about a potential move this summer, and Arsenal have already named their asking price.

It is claimed that Edu wants a fee in the region of £23 million for Bellerin, who will still have two years left on his Arsenal contract this summer. PSG want to bring that fee down, and it will be interesting to see if the Gunners will oblige.

The Insider’s View:

Bellerin has done all he can at Arsenal. He has been brilliant at times for us, but injuries have played a big part in his career at the Emirates, and that has arguably hurt his growth.

However, the Spaniard is still a quality right-back. He can move to a different league and become one of the best full-backs in the division there, and a Champions League club like PSG would be perfect for him.

Arsenal should do everything possible to get good money for Bellerin. PSG will definitely try to get him for a lot cheaper than the fee we’re demanding, but Edu should work his magic and work out a deal that would benefit us this summer.
