LOSC Lille president Olivier Letang is eager to sell Arsenal target Renato Sanches this summer, with Tottenham also interested in the midfielder.

According to the Le 10 Sport, the Ligue 1 champions have to sell before they can buy new players.

As well as Arsenal, FC Barcelona and north London rivals Tottenham are also keen on the Portuguese international.

Arsenal have been keen on a move for Sanches for most of the summer. With Matteo Guendouzi gone and Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira also likely to leave, midfielders are on the agenda.

Indeed, Mikel Arteta and Edu have already been working on improving the midfield for Arsenal this summer.

Albert Sambi Lokonga also joined earlier in the month from R.S.C. Anderlecht and impressed in his unofficial debut for the club against Millwall.

Sanches is just one of many midfielders Arsenal have been linked with this summer.

Houssem Aouar continues to be an option for the Gunners, whilst Manuel Locatelli is also on their radar. However, the Italian looks set to move to Juventus after a stellar Euro 2020.

Insider View: Sanches is perfect to replace Xhaka at Arsenal

With Lille eager to sell and Xhaka inching closer to a move to AS Roma, making a move for Sanches make plenty of sense for Arsenal.

The Portuguese midfielder is athletic and dynamic. And offers a lot of what the Gunners were missing from their midfield last season. Sanches is excellent and getting the ball up the pitch with swift dribbling and smart forward passes.

Indeed, with the Gunners being criticised last season for their passive movement, Sanches would be the perfect remedy to this problem.

And in signing the youngster, Arteta will have an excellent option in midfield who can help develop Arsenal back into the entertaining side they were under Arsene Wenger.
