Borussia Dortmund and Germany star Julian Brandt is willing to make a move to Arsenal this month, according to Football London.

The Gunners are desperate for a new creative midfielder. Arsenal’s best chance-creator this season has been Kieran Tierney, which really is a shame considering that our midfielders and our wingers have the quality to offer so much more.

A new number 10 was a priority in the summer as well, but a deal for Houssem Aouar could not be completed. That opportunity doesn’t look like it will come up again this month and that has forced Arsenal to look elsewhere.

Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia is reportedly high on Arteta’s wish list but his £40 million price-tag could make it a little too expensive for us. That could be why Edu is looking at Brandt this month.

The German is reportedly available for just £22.6 million this month.

That is an absolute bargain for a player of his quality, and the fact that he is still only 24 makes him an even better option than someone like Christian Eriksen who has also been linked with a move to the Emirates.

Labelled as ‘a fantastic player’ by ex-Dortmund boss Lucien Favre (BVB Buzz), Brandt can solve our attacking problems. The 24-year-old had a fantastic campaign last term – scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists.

He is hugely versatile as well having played across the front three, as a number 10 and also as a box-to-box midfielder.

At a little over £22 million, this is an opportunity we simply cannot miss. Edu has to get this deal done in the very near future. A new creator is an absolute necessity and Brandt seems like he is our most affordable option at the moment.
