Arsenal have made an approach to sign Real Madrid sensation Martin Odegaard on loan for the remainder of this season, according to Sky Sports.

That would have alerted a ton of clubs and it looks like Arsenal are one of them. Mikel Arteta is reportedly a huge fan of Odegaard and the Gunners have sent a proposal to Real Madrid to get him this month.
Arsenal’s biggest problem this season has been our lack of creativity. Emile Smith Rowe has solved that issue in recent weeks, but it would be foolish to rely completely on him for the rest of this season.
Arteta and Edu are on the market looking for a new number 10 and Odegaard would be perfect.
Odegaard to Arsenal would be brilliant
The 22-year-old will not cost a big fee as he will be on loan, and he will fill the immediate void we have. Real Madrid view him as the future of the club and Odegaard is desperate for regular game time.
A move to the Emirates is the best thing for all parties involved, but Arsenal aren’t the only ones interested.
The report claims that another club from the Premier League is interested in Odegaard’s services. That will complicate things a bit, but our relationship with Real Madrid has been good thanks to Dani Ceballos, and that could give us an edge.
Arsenal fans would certainly love Odegaard at the Emirates, even if it’s a dry loan deal. Edu seems to have acted quick, but he will have to be at his best to get this deal over the line.
