According to Gianluca di Marzio, Italian champions Inter Milan are interested in signing Arsenal star Hector Bellerin this summer.

The Nerazzurri are moments away from losing their star right-back, Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan is expected to complete a move to Paris Saint-Germain for a whopping £60 million in the coming days. (ESPN)

That money is a huge blessing for Inter, who have been struggling financially for a while now. They will make a huge profit on Hakimi and are now set to use those funds to bring in a replacement.

The report claims that Bellerin is on Inter Milan’s shortlist to replace Hakimi. The Spaniard is almost guaranteed to leave the Emirates this summer, and he really would be a brilliant signing for the recently crowned Serie A champions.

Bellerin, still only 26, has had his problems at Arsenal. He has received a ton of criticism for it over the last year or so, most of which were unfair. However, he has been a magnificent servant to our football club and everyone loves him here, but it’s the right time to part ways.

The former Barcelona man will easily become one of the best right-backs in whatever league he ends up in. His pace is not the same as it was a few years ago, but he is still rapid, and he will cause defenders a ton of problems with his offensive runs in Italy if he can secure a move there.

Arsenal need a top-quality replacement if Hector Bellerin joins Inter Milan

Arsenal will still have Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares if Bellerin leaves this summer. They’re both solid options on their day, but if the Gunners really want to go to the next level, we need to bring in someone much better.

Kieran Tierney on the opposite side is one of Arsenal’s best players. The balance he provides between attack and defence makes our left side absolutely incredible, and we need someone of the same quality on the right.

It will be interesting to see how Edu and Mikel Arteta plan things in the coming days. Moves for most of our reported right-back targets look unlikely now, but we simply cannot sell Bellerin and decide against replacing him this summer.
