Arsenal are still on the search for a new forward option who could transform their ability to score goals against difficult opposition.
So far this season, the Gunners have struggled to score regularly from open play, putting them behind the pace in the Premier League title race.
That has only continued talks over Arsenal’s transfer interest in a striker, while general links have also seen them rumoured with a move for another forward or attacking playmaker option.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping that the January transfer window offers some fresh hope with a few new faces through the doors at London Colney.
One unlikely deal that could be available to Arsenal surrounds Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United man who faces an uncertain future.

Roy Keane urges Marcus Rashford to make Man United transfer
Rashford has been rumoured with a Man United transfer exit, for a price as little as £40million in the coming January transfer window.
Given the forward’s record in past seasons, there is clearly an impressive player available but there may be questions about how reliable he can be.
Arsenal have been linked with Rashford in the past, an interest that could reignite with their struggles in front of goal.
Amid that potential possibility, Manchester United legend Roy Keane has urged the England international to leave Old Trafford.
Speaking on Sky Sports during the Manchester Derby, Keane said: “I feel like a move for Marcus is definitely something that would suit the player.
“A new challenge for the player, he’s been at the club a long time and he’s done well for the club but over the last few years or two, whatever with talent at a big club if your attitude isn’t quite right and his certainly hasn’t been great recently, sometimes it’s good to part ways.”
It suggests that while a move may get the best out of Rashford, there is a clear warning over any possible deal.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will make a move or not, though a January move is certainly unlikely.

Marcus Rashford’s position problem for Arsenal
If Rashford was to make the surprise switch to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal may find themselves with the same issue Manchester United have had for quite some time.
Knowing the forward’s best position is still something of a mystery, with him usually playing well on the left flank but also offering something at centre-forward.
With the Gunners having plenty of quality on the left but a lack of centre-forward options, it would put Rashford back in the questionable spot of not knowing where he may play.
He has shown a goal-scoring clinical streak during his career that could make the difference during a title challenge though.
| Season | Goals | Assists |
| 15/16 | 5 | 2 |
| 16/17 | 5 | 1 |
| 17/18 | 7 | 5 |
| 18/19 | 10 | 6 |
| 19/20 | 17 | 7 |
| 20/21 | 11 | 9 |
| 21/22 | 4 | 2 |
| 22/23 | 17 | 5 |
| 23/24 | 7 | 2 |
| 24/25 | 4 | 1 |
It leaves a big question over whether Arsenal truly should gamble on a player like Rashford to solve their scoring issues or if it would add further problems to their ranks.
