Arsenal have been linked with several attackers for this transfer window, and one of their targets is now available.
Mikel Arteta is keen on adding a speedy and versatile option to his front line, with a winger who can play on both sides ideally desired.
Arsenal look set to close in on Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori as their first major summer signing, and one of his teammates is now available should he still be of interest to Arteta.
Juventus winger Federico Chiesa was once one of the hottest prospects in European football, but he is now set to leave this summer as new manager Thiago Motta aims to refresh the squad, and he could be of interest to Arteta, having been linked with a move to the Emirates in the past.
Arsenal target Federico Chiesa set to leave Juventus
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Chiesa will leave Juventus, and he will be available for a bargain price.
“The decision of Juventus has been made in the case of Federico Chiesa. The player will leave the club this summer, this is the plan,” Romano stated in his Daily Briefing.
“The new manager, Thiago Motta, wants to go in a different direction. Juventus are not counting on him, so Chiesa is expected to be sold by Juventus this summer for something around €20m (£17m)/€25m (£21m). It’s that cheap because the player is out of contract in summer 2025.
“Federico Chiesa is a big opportunity on the market, and he will probably have several options to choose from.”
Should Arsenal pursue a deal for Federico Chiesa?

Chiesa was named in the Team of the Tournament at Euro 2020, and was outstanding for Juventus before he picked up a long-term injury.
He has been trying to find his best form since, but has shone at times, and drew praise after a standout display for Italy last November.
“Chiesa is a ruthless Sinner. ‘He counted on winning. We only took a risk because we never stop playing,'” Italian media stated after a victory over North Macedonia in which Chiesa was influential.
Now 26, Chiesa can play across the attacking line, and still brings speed which is otherwise lacking in the Arsenal squad.
With nine goals and three assists in 25 Serie A starts last season, Chiesa is still capable of providing end product, in what was a Juventus team which struggled in attack, and Arteta may believe he can help restore him to his previous heights.
However, there is an element of risk involved given his previous injury, but at such a low price tag, it may be worth exploring a deal.
