Arsenal fans were treated to a gem of goal by Martin Odegaard last night.
The Norwegian, who joined us from Real Madrid in January, was yet to register a direct goal contribution in Arsenal colours. He wasn’t at his best in the first 20-30 minutes of the game against Olympiacos last night, and it looked like one of those days.
Thankfully, Odegaard didn’t sulk. He received the ball a long way away from goal and decided to have a pop, and that resulted in one of the goals of the Europa League this season.

Odegaard went from strength to strength after his goal. He caused Olympiacos a ton of problems, and Arsenal fans were absolutely delighted with his display in Greece last night.
The Real Madrid man spoke to Arsenal’s media team after the game and his comments raised the excitement levels among Gunners supporters.
He said: “I’m very happy. As I said before, I feel great here. I feel at home and I’m happy to be here. I think the way we play football suits me really well. So, I’m just pleased to be here.”

Arsenal fans urge Edu and Arteta to sign Odegaard permanently
Odegaard’s loan deal does not include a purchase option. Nobody knows what Real Madrid will decide at the end of the season, but if it was up to Arsenal fans, they would sign him on a permanent deal right away.
The 22-year-old has been playing really well since he joined us and the only thing that was lacking was a goal. He got that in spectacular fashion yesterday and hopefully, he can bang a few more in before the end of the season.
Here’s how a few Arsenal fans reacted to his comments yesterday
