There’s always an element of interest when Tottenham are linked with a former Arsenal player and ahead of Monday’s deadline, we are here again.
The Gunners and Spurs have been quiet for once in the January window but with time ticking, you can never count out deals happening.
And while we expect Arsenal to sit quietly other than the odd potential young player maybe going out on loan, there is intrigue from the Gunners’ side of things across north London.

Tottenham are actively looking to add players now and in the summer. And according to one respected journalist, their search has led them to former Arsenal man, Serge Gnabry.
Tottenham register interest in signing Serge Gnabry
Serge Gnabry always comes up in conversations about Arsenal players who never quite fulfilled their potential at the club.
Of course, Gnabry has since gone on to be a brilliant player, having a hugely successful career with Bayern and for the German national team.

Now, though, journalist Christian Falk has revealed that it is indeed Tottenham who want him.
Speaking on Sport Bild’s latest transfer show, respected journalist Falk was asked about any interest in Gnabry from Tottenham.
And it seems that Thomas Frank’s side are indeed keen on the former Gunner.
“That is true. They did make an approach, but apparently got the immediate signal: ‘Guys, we are talking to Bayern first, we are in good talks, so don’t get your hopes up too much’,” Falk revealed.
“And we can confirm again what we said last time: Sky reported that it (contract extension) would happen this week. So far, it hasn’t happened yet. We’ll see if it will still go through.”

Serge Gnabry’s career since leaving Arsenal
The Gunners got a paltry fee of around £8m for Gnabry back in 2016 and looking back, it has been one of those the club probably wishes they’d not sanctioned.
Since leaving Arsenal, Gnabry has more than succeeded in football.
Serge Gnabry: Have Arsenal ever made a bigger blunder in the transfer market?
Alongside winning six league titles with Bayern and a Champions League, Gnabry has also hit the 100 goal mark in over 300 appearances for the club, while he has scored 25 in 57 international appearances.
Remarkably, Gnabry is still only 30, despite being around for what seems like an eternity.
Nevertheless, Arsenal can once again add a player to the ‘we developed them’ list and ultimately, can look on with pride at what Gnabry has achieved.
If he signs for Tottenham, though, then any good feeling towards the German might well dissipate.
