Arsenal are in a position now where they can attract some of the best players in the world.

The Gunners are the Premier League champions, Champions League finalists and one of the most complete sides on the planet.

Mikel Arteta is up there with the best managers as well, so it should not surprise anyone when elite players want to play under him in the famous red and white.

One player who was open to the opportunity was Kenan Yildiz, but that move is unlikely to happen now.

Why Kenan Yildiz changed his mind about Arsenal move

Yildiz is one of the most exciting wingers in Europe right now.

The Juventus attacker has starred in the Serie A and has been of interest to several top clubs over the last 12 months.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Yildiz, and most fans at the Emirates Stadium would’ve taken him in a heartbeat.

Now, Tutto Sport have revealed that the Turk viewed the Gunners as a ‘welcome destination’, meaning he was open to a move to North London.

However, Juventus’ ownership, mainly John Elkann, have changed his mind with the promise of building the future around him.

Furthermore, Yildiz, who is the seventh-most valuable player in the world at €133 million (CIES), will keep hold of his number 10 shirt and also be made the vice-captain of the club, despite only being 21 years of age.

That seems to have convinced Yildiz to stay, even though Juve have not qualified for the Champions League next season.

Kenan Yildiz would’ve been great but Arsenal have other options

Arsenal were right to target Yildiz.

The Turkey international possesses all the qualities you would want from a winger, and he would’ve fit into Arteta’s system perfectly.

It’s a shame that Arsenal can’t get him, but it’s not the end of the world.

The Gunners have been linked with the likes of Morgan Rogers, Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia among others for their left wing, and they are all great options.

We’re sure Arsenal fans will forget about Yildiz if Andrea Berta can get one of them instead.
