Arsenal are expected to be extremely busy when it comes to player sales this summer.

Andrea Berta has spent months laying the groundwork for potential departures, knowing the Gunners need to generate funds if they want to keep improving Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Several members of Arsenal’s Premier League-winning team are attracting interest from around Europe, with clubs in England, Italy and Turkey all monitoring the situation.

One of those clubs is Aston Villa, and former Arsenal boss Unai Emery is said to be interested in signing Leandro Trossard.

Be honest. Did Unai Emery deserve more time at Arsenal or was he rightly sacked?

Unai Emery wants to sign Leandro Trossard after Arsenal title triumph

Trossard has been one of Arsenal’s most reliable players since arriving from Brighton.

He may not always be the first name on the teamsheet, but time and again he has stepped up when Arteta needed him most.

The Belgian played an important role in Arsenal’s title-winning campaign and delivered several big moments throughout the season.

That is exactly why so many clubs are now showing an interest in him.

According to Turkish outlet Sporx, there is significant demand for Trossard across Europe.

The report claims Besiktas remain keen after failing to sign him previously, while Juventus, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Newcastle United are all keeping tabs on his situation too.

However, the most interesting name on that list is Aston Villa.

Emery knows Arsenal well, knows the Premier League well and clearly believes Trossard still has plenty to offer at the highest level.

Villa are looking to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season, and the Arsenal forward appears to be one of the players they admire.

With Trossard now into his thirties and Arsenal considering a refresh in attack, this is a transfer story worth keeping an eye on.

If Leandro Trossard isn’t Arsenal’s most clutch player, who is? 🤔

Arsenal should use Aston Villa’s interest in Leandro Trossard to sign Morgan Rogers

If Villa are genuinely serious about signing Trossard, Arsenal should immediately see an opportunity.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with Morgan Rogers in recent months and view him as one of the most exciting attacking players in the Premier League.

Villa have no desire to sell the England international, but every negotiation has a starting point.

Including Trossard in a player-plus-cash proposal could at least make the conversation more interesting from Villa’s perspective.

Trossard would give Emery an experienced, proven Premier League attacker who could make an instant impact.

Meanwhile, Arsenal would get a younger player capable of becoming a cornerstone of Arteta’s attack for years to come.

It would still require a huge cash payment on top, but if Andrea Berta can use Villa’s interest in Trossard to help land Rogers, it could be one of the smartest moves of the summer.
