According to The Mirror (21:32), Arsenal are expecting offers from Spain to sign Reiss Nelson on loan until the end of the season.
The young winger has struggled for opportunities in the first team this term. Nelson has Willian, Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all ahead of him in the pecking order.
It is very unlikely that he will get any game time at Arsenal in the remainder of this season. A loan move would be ideal for his development and a friendly face reportedly wants to take him.
Former Arsenal boss Unai Emery, who is now at the helm at Villarreal, is reportedly interested in signing Nelson until the end of the season.
The Englishman scored a goal and picked up two assists under the Spaniard during his time at Arsenal. Emery knows him very well and even claimed that he told Nelson that his ability in one on one situations is ‘very good’ back in 2019. (Football London)
The report claims that Real Betis are also interested in Nelson, while Valencia were keen but pulled out of the race after they signed Patrick Cutrone from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The transfer window shuts later today and Arsenal have to accelerate any transfers we plan on doing. Nelson should be allowed to leave on loan. Six months in a different league under a familiar manager could benefit him massively.
Emery’s time at Arsenal will largely be remembered negatively, but his management of young players deserves credit. Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and Matteo Guendouzi were all given chances by the Spaniard, and there is no reason why he won’t aid Nelson’s development.
The winger would probably prefer to stay in England but no interest from Premier League clubs have been reported. A six-month spell in Spain could do wonders for his development, and if the interest from Emery is genuine, he should take it.
