Arsenal appear to have picked Viktor Gyokeres as their striker of choice for this summer, as movement is being made towards sealing a deal.
The Swedish international has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, following impressive seasons with Coventry City in the Championship and now Sporting CP in Portugal.

Viktor Gyokeres’ move to Arsenal is gaining some momentum, with the Gunners currently struggling to land Benjamin Sesko.
As talks progress for the 27-year-old to move to the Emirates Stadium, there are still some stumbling blocks to get past.
One of those may involve the current salary, with Record reporting that Gyokeres is willing to give up €2 million (£1.7 million) from his salary over the five-year deal to get the move done.
It’s stated that the striker wants to do this so Arsenal can increase their fixed offer to Sporting, with the aim of sealing the deal.
It’s a huge financial sacrifice, though he will still be paid well in his move to North London, but it shows his dedication to getting the transfer done.
Given Gyokeres has threatened strike action, the lengths to which he wants to make the move have been clear.
Now, with momentum moving one way, Arsenal can finally look to seal the deal.

Plenty of Arsenal fans were absolutely delighted to see the lengths to which Gyokeres is willing to go to join the club.
Taking to social media, one supporter said: “Can’t deny his desire. Pretty impressive.”
Another added: “THIS is the sort of mentality that drags you over the line to serious silverware. Can’t wait to see him in an Arsenal shirt.”
“He’s an Arsenal legend already,” one fan said in an early claim about the striker.
“Arsenal Pull!!!! Man gotta play out his heart at Arsenal!” another added.
Others took it as a moment to poke fun at Manchester United, who had been linked with Gyokeres before, stating: “He rejected United, used his salary just to join Arsenal. He’s already an Arsenal legend in my books.”
“I’ve seen enough. Sign him up NOW,” another fan made clear.
It remains to be seen if that desire can translate to performances on the pitch and goals when desperately needed.
That will ultimately be the telling factor as to whether the deal for Gyokeres is a success or not.
