Arsenal are now set to hold emergency contract talks with Bukayo Saka as Manchester City and other clubs consider a swoop for the winger.
Bukayo Saka is a talismanic figure for Arsenal.
The winger has made the headlines today for all the right reasons, having played a starring role in England’s quarter-final triumph over Switzerland at Euro 2024.
The 22-year-old struck the Three Lions’ equaliser from range in the second half, and made no mistake from the penalty spot during the shootout that decided the tie.
England legend David Beckham was amongst those to applaud Saka for his international exploits. Seeing the Hale End academy graduate dazzle at international level will have come as no surprise to Mikel Arteta, though. Arsenal fans have also been impressed by Saka’s performances in Germany.
The attacker is a key player for the Gunners, and will be central to the manager’s future plans. However, Arsenal now face the potential risk of their prized asset being lured away from North London.

Manchester City and Real Madrid now keen on signing Arsenal sensation Bukayo Saka
According to Caught Offside, Manchester City, Real Madrid, PSG, and Bayern Munich are all interested in securing Saka’s services. This news has prompted the Gunners to “plan” for the player’s future in a more urgent manner.
Arsenal will soon try to begin talks with the attacker with the aim of tying him down to a new contract, despite the fact that Saka only signed a new deal last year.
As things stand, the North London club value the player at £169 million. As far as many supporters will be concerned, though, Saka is simply priceless.
Arsenal have to keep Saka at the club, and build around him with the long-term future in mind. Not only is he Arsenal’s most potent attacking player, but he represents something far greater than that, as a product of the academy and someone who has already produced so many special moments whilst wearing an Arsenal shirt.
Arteta and sporting director Edu will both recognise that, and will surely do whatever it takes to ward off any potential suitors by offering Saka fresh new terms.
