Arsenal Insider understands that Arsenal are well aware of Antoine Semenyo’s £65m release clause at Bournemouth and are monitoring his situation.
Andrea Berta is planning to sign another attacker for the North London club in 2026, and the Ghanaian international is a player on their list of targets.
The new Italian director has already worked wonders at the Emirates Stadium, following a summer transfer window which saw signings like Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze, and Martin Zubimendi.
The Gunners now have more additions they would still like to make, and a left-sided attacker is one of the positions they are targeting.

Sources: Arsenal unlikely to move for Antoine Semenyo in January
However, Arsenal Insider’s transfer expert, Graeme Bailey, has been told that Arsenal are unlikely to move for Antoine Semenyo in January, at this stage.
Mikel Arteta’s team will continue to monitor the winger, but with Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Noni Madueke and Eze still in the squad, a winter move appears unlikely.
At some stage, there is a desire to sign another top left winger, so a move cannot be totally discounted just yet.
Speaking about the situation, Bailey told Arsenal Insider: “Arsenal sources do not dismiss themselves out of hand, he is one they are keeping tabs on and are aware of his situation.”
But when asked whether the Gunners will consider paying his £65 million release clause in January, the transfer expert replied: “They know it will take that in January – but no, unlikely – although he can play left, so he is an option.”
Thierry Henry is a big fan of Semenyo, and it feels like the Gunners would be silly not to at least try to sign him.
Antoine Semenyo grew up supporting Arsenal
Semenyo has previously revealed that he grew up supporting Arsenal, and just like Eze, he too was rejected by them as a youngster.
“I am an Arsenal fan. I don’t conflict the two with my job. It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life, and I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen, I need to prove it,” Semenyo told The Athletic back in 2024.
Meanwhile, Semenyo also spoke about being turned down by several major London clubs between the ages of 12 and 16.
“I went on trial to Arsenal, Fulham, Millwall, maybe four times, and Charlton. But it was always the same thing. Come back in the next couple of months, see how you do and every time I went, it just never went well,” he told Sky Sports.
