Arsenal are positioning themselves to make a first signing of the summer in the form of Christos Tzolis and it seems like the winger is more than ready to go.

Mikel Arteta is looking to move quickly this summer to strengthen and Tzolis has emerged as a player of real interest.

Indeed, there are suggestions a deal is already significantly advanced and that ultimately, Tzolis can expect to be an Arsenal player next season.

And in what looks like further good news for Arsenal with this deal, it appears Tzolis has made it quite clear he’d love to sign.

Christos Tzolis admits he’d love to sign for Arsenal

With wide areas a priority for the Gunners and Mikel Arteta this summer, it feels like the signing of Tzolis makes plenty of sense.

Indeed, in terms of a player who is keen on joining the project under Arteta, Tzolis spoke before the Champions League final against PSG of how he was supporting the Gunners, before admitting he’d love for the club to sign him.

“I hope that Arsenal come for me. If Arsenal come, it would be a privilege for any player to play for them,” Tzolis admitted in an interview to DH Sports.

Whether the signing of Tzolis signals the end of the Gunners’ look for new wingers this summer, remains to be seen.

However, respected journalist David Ornstein has suggested that will not be the case.

Bradley Barcola is also high on Arsenal’s list and it very much feels like the Gunners are going out to add new faces.

Clearly, signing both Tzolis and Barcola would vastly improve the squad.
