Sandro Tonali has been linked with a move to several clubs, including Arsenal.
The Newcastle United star is a fantastic midfielder, and he has the quality to play for most top clubs in the world.
The general consensus is that Tonali will leave the Magpies this summer, and those within St James’ Park also believe that to be the case.
His most likely destination? Arsenal, not Tottenham.
🤔 Which midfield target should Andrea Berta prioritise at Arsenal this summer?
Newcastle United think Arsenal are the favourites to sign Sandro Tonali
Newcastle United will not make it easy for clubs to sign Sandro Tonali.
The Magpies showed last summer with Alexander Isak just how strong they are in transfer negotiations, so interested parties will need to be prepared to pay big.
Reports have claimed that Newcastle want £100 million for Tonali, which is a lot of money, but there is interest from clubs.
Arsenal have been linked with the midfielder, while Tottenham seem the most active in pursuit of his signature at this moment in time.
But what do Newcastle think?
The Telegraph have claimed that the Toon have long believed that Arsenal are the favourites to sign Tonali, and their stance hasn’t changed despite Tottenham’s move.
That is really interesting, and it remains to be seen now if the Gunners will actually make a move to sign him in the coming weeks.

What is the maximum fee Arsenal should pay to sign Sandro Tonali?
Sandro Tonali is great but he is not worth £100m
Arsenal are not wrong to have a look at Tonali.
The former AC Milan man is excellent with the ball at his feet, great without it, and he now has a few years of Premier League experience under his belt as well.
Tonali checks a lot of boxes for Arsenal, but with Martin Zubimendi and Myles Lewis-Skelly already available, does it really make sense to spend £100 million on him?
We don’t think so!
Arsenal would be better off signing Ayyoub Bouaddi for £60 million than Tonali for £100 million.
