Despite Unai Emery’s team winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League, Rogers looks set to leave Villa Park this summer.

Arsenal would love to bring the England international to the Emirates Stadium, and there is one key reason why they think he would be a great addition.

Arsenal think Morgan Rogers’ versatility would be a great asset

Arsenal have noted that Morgan Rogers’ versatility would be a great asset to Mikel Arteta’s squad, according to BBC Sport.

The 24-year-old can operate both through the middle and on the left wing, which could be great for the Gunners’ squad.

Arsenal are already well stocked in the number ten role, with both Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze able to operate there.

Odegaard could leave Arsenal this summer, with the North London club needing to raise funds to make moves elsewhere.

For Rogers, the plan would likely be to feature more as a left-sided attacker, which he has done under Emery this season.

The England star has just enjoyed another very frustrating campaign, producing 14 goals and 12 assists, including a goal and assist in the Europa League final.

Rogers will be going to the World Cup with several of Arsenal’s players this summer, with Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Eze all in the Three Lions’ squad.

Arteta will surely be telling the quartet to get in Rogers’ ear and convince him to push for a move to Arsenal.

Although the report adds that Rogers is already open to joining Arsenal, with Manchester United also following his situation.
