Joshua Kimmich is reportedly considering a move to Arsenal, with the Bayern Munich midfielder expected to be sold this summer.
The 29-year-old superstar is considered by many to be one of the best players in the Bundesliga, with Kimmich winning eight league titles with Bayern as well as the UEFA Champions League.
Yet with relations between the player and Bayern fracturing, there is a strong chance that Kimmich could leave the German giants this summer, with Arsenal now seemingly in the race for the midfielder.
Arsenal in five-team race to sign Joshua Kimmich

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, five clubs are in consideration of signing Kimmich, with Arsenal listed among the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Real Madrid.
With FC Barcelona also in the race, the battle to sign Kimmich could be one of the most entertaining of the summer, and one that Arsenal might now find themselves in, with contact even being made.
Lauded by Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann as a ‘world-class’ player, Kimmich would add a lot of tactical flexibility to Arsenal’s squad, something Mikel Arteta would greatly appreciate.
Moreover, with Thomas Partet expected to leave Arsenal, Kimmich could be a direct replacement for the Ghanaian international in the midfield given the German’s age and experience.
Arsenal landing Bayern Munich star would be a surprise

Kimmich is clearly a brilliant player who has been instrumental in Bayern’s outstanding domestic and European success in recent years, with the midfielder also a regular for Germany.
Yet Arsenal landing the 29-year-old would feel like a surprise for most fans and pundits, given how much Kimmich could cost both in regards to a transfer fee and wages.
Whilst the north London side under Arteta are no strangers to signing older players, someone like Kimmich would come as a surprise, especially with how strong the competition already is for the German star.
