Arsenal have saved millions on the transfer market thanks to their youth setup.

The Gunners academy has produced several outstanding players over the years. Bukayo Saka is the biggest of them all, but the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have followed in his footsteps and are developing brilliantly.

Max Dowman is the latest Hale End graduate to be promoted to the first team. That is magnificent, considering he is still just 15 years old.

The Arsenal academy is not done. There are many more exciting young players coming through, and we think the next two to break through will be Marli Salmon and Andre Harriman-Annous.

The work Per Mertesacker has been doing in the Arsenal academy is nothing short of incredible.

Hale End has always helped develop talented players, but the level in recent years has been higher than we’ve ever seen before.

Arsenal fans can be excited about the future thanks to their academy. There are many elite talents waiting to get an opportunity.

Harriman-Annous and Salmon are two such players.

The two teenagers are often spotted in senior training sessions under Mikel Arteta, and they were also a part of Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia.

Harriman-Annous is a versatile forward who has often played up front for the youth sides, while Salmon is a centre-back who has been likened to William Saliba.

Arsenal are well covered in both positions, as they are across the pitch, so it will be difficult for the two youngsters to do what Saka did all those years ago.

But, they could get a few minutes at some point this season, which would be a great opportunity to show Arteta what they’re all about.

Arsenal may need to implement a different plan for their academy stars

Salmon and Harriman-Annous are the closest among all the academy players to get into the senior side, but that promotion won’t happen anytime soon.

The two players still have a lot to develop, and having them train with the first-team squad will definitely help.

However, after the end of this season, Arsenal should seriously consider loaning them out to aid their development.

Saliba became the player he is today thanks to his loan spells. There is no reason why Salmon, Harriman-Annous and many other youngsters can’t do the same.
