Arsenal loanee’s dream week turns into an absolute nightmare after he gets a red card in 42 minutes

It has been a mixed week for Arsenal loanees.

Karl Hein won the Man of the Match award despite losing 4-0 against Bayern Munich, while Jakub Kiwior earned immense praise for his performance at Porto.

That was great to see, but for another Arsenal loanee, his week went from a dream to a nightmare in the matter of a few days.

Maldini Kacurri gets Man of the Match award and a red card in the same week

Maldini Kacurri joined Arsenal from Fulham on a free transfer in 2022.

The Albanian, who made his senior international debut recently, is a fine talent and has impressed heavily at the academy level.

Kacurri even made his Arsenal first-team debut last season in the Carabao Cup.

In the summer, the 19-year-old joined National League side Morecambe on loan until the start of February next year.

In his second game there, Kacurri played the full 90 minutes in the defeat to Halifax Town and was named as Morecambe’s Man of the Match.

His week started off like a dream, but just days later, it turned into a nightmare as the Arsenal loanee picked up two yellow cards in 42 minutes and was given his marching orders.

Morecambe went on to lose the game 5-0, making it their heaviest defeat of the season.

Arsenal have made a mistake with Maldini Kacurri

Kacurri is way too good to be playing in the National League.

The teenager has done really well for the academy sides, and Per Mertesacker and the decision-makers at the youth level should’ve found a better club for him.

Playing at least for a League Two side would’ve been much better for his development, but he will learn a thing or two at Morecambe as well.

The Shrimps are currently at the bottom of the National League table, so fighting from that position for the next few months will help improve Kacurri’s mentality.

However, we hope the Arsenal academy bosses will find him a better club once he returns from this spell in February.
