Max Dowman is the crown jewel of the Arsenal academy, but he isn’t the only talented young player at Hale End.

The 15-year-old has become a fan favourite in the red half of North London. Almost every fan has been aware of him since he was 14, and those who didn’t know him have understood what the hype is all about now.

On Saturday, Dowman became the youngest player to score for the Arsenal U21s in a Premier League 2 game, beating Reiss Nelson’s record.

Dowman was very good, but another player outshone him.

Andre Harriman-Annous stars to help Arsenal U21s beat Wolves

Max Porter’s Arsenal U21s took on Wolves on Saturday.

The Gunners failed to win their first two games in the Premier League 2 and only managed a 1-0 victory over Brighton in their third game.

The clash against Wolves was a tricky one, and to make things worse, Porter’s boys went 2-0 down.

Arsenal seemed to be heading for a defeat at that point, but in the 59th minute, Andre Harriman-Annous pulled one back.

Dowman then scored to level the game, and in the 99th minute, Harriman-Annous found the net again, this time from the penalty spot.

The 17-year-old is naturally an attacking midfielder who can also play in the number eight role. However, he has mostly been deployed as a striker in the academy.

Harriman-Annous has been fantastic in that role, and he was the star of the show against Wolves on Saturday.

Andre Harriman-Annous showed incredible composure late in the game

A 17-year-old playing for the U21s is an incredible achievement in itself, but Harriman-Annous wasn’t just on the pitch to participate.

The teenager had a solid game from start to finish, and he took his first goal really well to begin the comeback.

Then, in second-half stoppage time, Charles Sagoe Jr was brought down inside the box, and the Gunners were given the opportunity to win the game.

Sagoe Jr, who is 21 and has already made his first-team debut, is the more senior man, but Harriman-Annous grabbed the ball and converted his penalty effortlessly.

Scoring a penalty while playing in an older age group is never easy, and the fact that it was in the 99th minute put even more pressure on him.

However, Harriman-Annous showed incredible composure from the spot and won Arsenal the game.
