The Spanish media have identified the next ‘diamond’ emerging from Arsenal’s academy, namely the exceptional talent that is Luis Munoz.
Aged just 13 years and 343 days, Munoz became the youngest player to ever feature in the competition, coming up against Bayern Munich’s U-19 side.
Max Dowman also featured, scoring a brilliant brace for the young Gunners side who won 4-2 against the Germans at Meadow Park.
Dowman’s display rightfully received most of the plaudits, but Munoz was the other player who has been getting a lot of media attention.

Spanish media are getting excited by Arsenal’s Luis Munoz
Spanish publication SPORT are getting very excited about Arsenal’s youth prospect Luis Munoz, who made his debut in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday.
The English youth international, who could also represent Spain, Jamaica or Panama, was selected to feature ahead of many players more experienced than him.
However, David Horseman opted to put his trust in the youngster and even gave him a few minutes off the bench in stoppage time.
Speaking about the teenager, SPORT wrote: “Arteta has a serious diamond mine in the academy, and now he can add another gem to his list to keep a close eye on.”
Who is Arsenal’s biggest prospect?
It was a first win in the competition for Arsenal’s U-19 team, who have struggled and are currently sitting outside the play-off spots.
Bayern also found themselves in a similar position and are now on level points with the Hale End academy team.
The young Gunners had lost all four of their first few matches in the UEFA Youth League, that was until Dowman was given 90 minutes.
Max Dowman’s incredible solo goal vs Bayern Munich
Dowman proved why Arsenal rate him so highly as he netted a superb goal in stoppage time to seal the win for the young Gunners.
The 15-year-old beat three defenders, producing a lovely turn before lifting it over the keeper in the 97th minute.

Arsenal Insider understands that Dowman has a new scholarship ready for him to sign upon turning 16 at the end of December.
The midfielder can only sign a pro deal when he turns 17, and before then, any club could snatch him away. But that is highly unlikely given how happy he is being an Arsenal player.
