Through the years, many great players have made their way through the halls of London Colney, going on to become stars in their own right.

Mikel Arteta will be looking to bring them through to become key regulars, while others behind them in the pecking order will also be jostling for places in the team.

With the Arsenal academy receiving plenty of praise for some of the stars produced in recent years, the side are looking to bolster even further.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners are working hard to build relationships with clubs and agents ahead of potential moves.
With the young academy talents in particular, it’s claimed to be important so that Arsenal can be first in line for the next big stars.
The report states that the groundwork is already in place with several teenage stars so that once they are available, they can join.
It remains to be seen exactly which players they may be and when they might be available to join the ranks of the youth squads.
However, it shows the importance the Gunners are placing on bringing the best up-and-coming youngsters to the team.

Arsenal plan Lennon Patterson transfer
One star who has been linked in recent weeks with a move to Arsenal is Lennon Patterson, a young left-back who was on trial with the side from Wolves.
The 17-year-old featured against Sunderland for the under-21s team and has also taken part in several training sessions.
With that impressive stint, academy expert Jeorge Bird claims talks are underway between Arsenal and Wolves over a possible switch.
It remains to be seen if a deal can be confirmed going into January, with different rules in place for dealing with youngsters in transfers.
