Arsenal are chasing down the Premier League title leaders Liverpool, with hopes of closing the gap at the top of the league.
Mikel Arteta has several factors going against him though, not least when it comes to the squad options available to him.
The Gunners have suffered a cluster of injuries at different points in the season, often impacting the players available in specific positions.
The backline was a particular problem for Arsenal, which has since eased, though the issue has now moved to the right wing.
With the squad’s depth and quality being a recent concern, there is some fortune in the latest suspension news.

Four Arsenal stars avoid Premier League yellow card ban
Arsenal have had mixed luck when it comes to their discipline in the Premier League, which has been costly at times.
Three red cards have resulted in dropped points, but when it comes to their yellow cards, there has been some more fortune.
Most Arsenal stars haven’t been close to a suspension – though Jurrien Timber is one yellow card away from a ban along with Gabriel Jesus.
Beyond them, there have been Jorginho, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka on three bookings each.
Five yellow cards result in a one-match suspension up until the halfway point in the season, with only one match remaining before that point.
It means that, if those players on three bookings are to pick up two on the bounce, they won’t be suspended for a match – with the threshold increased to ten.
If Timber or Jesus pick up a yellow card against Brentford, they will be suspended, but if they avoid it then they will be available with an increased threshold.
That comes as a huge boost for Arteta, who will now have most of his players off of the discipline tightrope for the foreseeable future.

When do Premier League yellow cards reset?
The Premier League yellow card threshold states that five yellow card will result in a one-match ban if hit before the 19th match of the season.
After the halfway mark, it is increased to ten bookings, though that doesn’t last until the end of the season as many would expect.
That hits the 32nd match mark, with a suspension increased to two matches before it hits 15 yellow cards for a suspension in the remaining six games of the season.
With Arsenal’s struggles in the squad, they will be hoping there are no unnecessary suspensions coming up.
