Arsenal haven’t really been the most disciplined side in the Premier League over the years. At 99, the Gunners have received the most red cards in the history of the competition, which is not a good look at all.
Our discipline, or lack of it, has been a hot topic of discussion since Mikel Arteta took charge of Arenal. Since the Spaniard’s appointment, the Gunners have picked up more red cards than any other team in the Premier League – 10.
While some of the 99 decisions were absolutely the right ones, there have been others that made no sense whatsoever. However, the red cards were shown and Arsenal could do nothing but accept the decisions. Here’s a look at our players with the most red cards in the history of the Premier League.

Vieira being on top is no surprise to anyone. The legendary Frenchman’s disciplinary record when he was here was far from great, but the very thing that got him so many red cards made all of us love him more.
Xhaka took his tally up to four just before the international break and he is our only current player on the list. That is a terrible record to have, but the Swiss international has been unlucky with at least a couple of those decisions.

It will, however, take a long time for Xhaka or anyone else to break Vieira’s record of eight. Perhaps, it will never be broken. Only time will tell.
