According to a shock report from The Telegraph, Arsenal are keeping tabs on Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Gunners are reportedly looking to revamp the attack and a new number nine is on the agenda. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will both enter the final year of their contracts soon and there’s a good chance they will both be sold this summer.

Arsenal will have to replace Lacazette if he leaves and Calvert-Lewin is reportedly on Mikel Arteta’s wish list.

The Everton star was one of the best players in the Premier League last season. He scored 21 goals and provided four assists in all competitions, and Jamie Carragher boldly claimed that he was the third-best striker in the English top-flight last term. (TalkSport)

Still only 24, Calvert-Lewin’s rise to fame has truly been remarkable. His goalscoring record under Marco Silva, Sam Allardyce and Ronald Koeman was extremely underwhelming, but he reached a whole new level under Carlo Ancelotti.

The Englishman is one of the best strikers in the Premier League now and Arsenal are right to target him. However, he still has four years left on his Everton contract and he will cost an absolute fortune this summer.

Richarlison: Arsenal target Dominic Calvert-Lewin leaps like Cristiano Ronaldo

Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin are two of Everton’s best players. They have formed a sensational partnership up front and the Brazilian has been so impressed with his teammate that he compared his giant leap to Cristiano Ronaldo’s last year.

He told “Dominic’s development has been really impressive. He’s transformed into a complete striker. I remember when I got here he was nothing like the player he is today. It’s down to the work he’s put in.

“He’s in the gym every day, he’s always working on his finishing. And playing under Ancelotti he’ll keep getting better and better. He’s had a superb start to the season and without doubt deserved his England call-up.

“He must be a nightmare to play against and he has an incredible leap on him like Cristiano Ronaldo”
