Arsenal dug deep and picked up a hugely impressive win at Aston Villa this afternoon and Gooners in the away end created a brilliant new song for Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners boss has well and truly turned things around. Arsenal are in the driving seat to finish fourth this season and the Spaniard deserves massive praise for everything he has done.

Bukayo’s Saka strike in the first half beat Emi Martinez to give us the lead. We should’ve probably scored a couple more, but after a win as good as this one, nobody can complain.

Villa Park is never an easy ground to go to. Their fans really get behind their team and if they gain a little momentum, it becomes very difficult to stop them.

Arteta’s tactics today was spot on. We closed the spaces really quickly, dominated the game for most parts and despite a slightly nervy end, we completely deserved the win.

Arsenal fans in the stadium recognised Arteta’s brilliance today and created a brand new song for him. We must say, it’s brilliant!

The lyrics go: “We’ve got Super Mik Arteta, he knows exactly what we need, Kieran at the back, Gabi in attack, Arsenal on the way to Champions League!”

A look at Arsenal’s remaining fixtures

Arsenal now sit pretty in fourth place, four points above Manchester United with a game in hand and six ahead of Antonio Conte’s little team from down the road.

A place in the Champions League next season really is up for grabs now, but we have plenty of difficult games still to play this season.

Arsenal have a game at home against Brighton sandwiched between away trips to Crystal Palace and Southampton after the international break. We then play Chelsea and Manchester United in the space of two-and-a-half days, which is just outrageous.

Arteta’s men end the season with games against West Ham, Leeds, Newcastle and Everton. There’s a game against Spurs too, which is yet to be scheduled by the Premier League.
