Arsenal legend Michael Thomas has offered some transfer advice to Edu Gaspar as the Gunners begin to make moves in what is our most important transfer window in a couple of decades.

Mikel Arteta’s men finished eighth in the Premier League last season – our worst finish in over 25 years. That is simply not good enough and the pressure is well and truly on the Gunners boss now.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

Arsenal have to get things right in this transfer window. We need to strengthen multiple positions, but our priority has to be to bring in a new central midfielder in the coming days.

Granit Xhaka is set to leave the club, as are Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira. Dani Ceballos has already left, while Joe Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ futures are up in the air as well.

That leaves a huge hole in the middle of the park and Arsenal simply cannot ignore that this summer. Thomas Partey is a guaranteed starter, but we need someone who can slot in next to him – someone much better than Xhaka.

Arsenal have been linked with multiple players already, and Thomas has thrown another name into the hat.

Should Edu bring Aaron Ramsey back to Arsenal?

Rambo was absolutely brilliant for Wales yesterday. He scored an excellent goal to put them ahead against Turkey, and if he had a bit of luck on his side, he could easily have scored Euro 2020’s first hat-trick.

Ramsey’s fantastic performance brought back amazing memories to Arsenal fans. We’ve really missed the Welshman at the Emirates, and our recruitment has been so bad that we’re yet to replace him.

A return to Arsenal would really be a fairy tale for Ramsey, but sadly, it makes very little sense now.

Yes, Ramsey would fill the void we currently have in our midfield, but the Welshman is 30 already. His injury problems haven’t completely gone away and he is currently on ridiculous wages that we simply cannot afford.

We would all love Ramsey back at Arsenal, but we’ve moved on and so has he.
