Jack Wilshere picks his combined North London derby XI and Arsenal fans will love it

Arsenal will face Tottenham Hotspur in the second North London derby of the season and like many of us, Jack Wilshere cannot wait.

The Gunners won the bragging rights in the derby at the Emirates earlier in the season. We blew Spurs away by scoring three goals in the first half, and North London remained red.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Tottenham would love nothing more than to get their revenge this weekend and they are arguably better now under Antonio Conte than they were when Nuno Espirito Santo was at the helm. However, we are the favourites to win again.

Jack Wilshere picks his combined Arsenal-Tottenham XI ahead of NLD

Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere, who has had some lovely things to say about Tottenham in the past, has infuriated Spurs fans again, and it’s absolutely hilarious.

The Englishman was asked to pick his combined XI on TalkSport ahead of the derby this weekend and Wilshere was adamant that no Spurs player is good enough to make it into his side, not even Harry Kane.

Wilshere said: “I’m not taking any Tottenham players right now. All Arsenal. Harry Kane would be the one closest to it. But, at the minute, he’s not really doing it. Ramsdale. Tomiyasu. We’re playing a 4-2-3-1. Ben White and Gabriel centre-backs. Left-back, Kieran Tierney. It has to be KT.

“Right now, because Partey is not there, I’m going Lokonga and Xhaka in midfield. Odegaard in the No. 10 position. Right-wing, I’m going Smith Rowe. Saka on the left wing. Then Lacazette up front as skipper.”

The Insider’s View:

You just can’t not love Wilshere! The fact that Spurs fans hate him makes him an even bigger fan favourite.

Wilshere’s combined XI will definitely rile up a few more Tottenham fans, but is he really wrong?

The only two players who would arguably come close to getting a spot in the XI at the moment are Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The latter would make it only because Xhaka’s suspended and Partey’s away at AFCON.

So, when you think about it, Wilshere is not just being biased here, he’s spot on, but it’s still hilarious. Hopefully, the lads can prove him right on Sunday.
