According to Goal, Arsenal are interested in signing Leicester City star Youri Tielemans when the current season comes to an end.

The Gunners are looking for reinforcements in the middle of the park and the immediate priority is a loan deal. The report claims that a move for Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo is on the cards and it could happen in the coming days.

One Player Who Should REJECT Your Club

Arsenal will take that but our preferred long-term option is reportedly Tielemans, who will have just a year left on his contract in the summer.

Arsenal have spoken to Youri Tielemans’ agent

The report claims that Tielemans’ agent has already been to London Colney to hold talks with Arsenal technical director Edu.

We all know that the Brazilian knows his way around agents and early discussions with Tielemans’ representative could potentially give us an advantage over other interested clubs in the summer.

Leicester will definitely not make it easy for us to sign Tielemans, who is one of their best players. However, the fact that he’ll have just a year left on his contract in the summer means that he should be available for a very affordable fee.

Should Arsenal sign the Belgian?

Tielemans is exactly what we need.

The Belgian, still only 24, is already one of the best in his position in the Premier League. He is good with the ball, can take set-pieces and has proven time and again that he can score stunners.

Tielemans alongside Partey would make our midfield considerably stronger and he could form a solid partnership with his compatriot Albert Sambi Lokonga as well for years to come.

It will not be easy for Arsenal to sign Tielemans but it’s good to know that he is one of our targets.
