Arsenal and Tottenham fans are never on the same page, but what has happened to Bukayo Saka since last night has united the two fierce North London rivals.

Saka came off the bench for England against Italy in the final of Euro 2020 and looked really good. He was lively, troubled one of the greatest defenders in the world in Giorgio Chiellini and remained a threat for the Three Lions until the end of extra time.

The game went to penalties and although England started brilliantly, their backs were quickly against the wall. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho both missed their spot-kicks and that pushed the Azzurri very close to triumph.

19-year-old Saka, who had never taken a penalty in his senior career before last night, stepped up with the whole world watching. The fate of the entire nation rested on his young shoulders, and that pressure proved to be a bit too much for him.

Saka struck the ball to Gianluigi Donnarumma’s left, but the giant Italian managed to deny the Arsenal man. The Azzurri celebrated with joy, but the young English sensation was in tears.

He was inconsolable, even though every single one of his teammates tried to calm him down. It was heartbreaking to watch Saka that way, but football is a cruel game, and the teenager found that out the hard way last night.

To make things worse, a few people on the internet decided to racially abuse the young Arsenal man. Some of the things online are absolutely disgusting to see, and we’re all worried about how this could impact Saka, who is only 19.
