Folarin Balogun has certainly caught the fans’ eye with his brief cameos. Emile Smith Rowe has also been brilliant, while the likes of Joe Willock, Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson have given Mikel Arteta a selection headache.

Arsenal handed two more youngsters their debut against Dundalk yesterday. Ben Cottrell made a few impressive runs but the real gem Arsenal fans have been raving about is Miguel Azeez.

The 18-year-old has been a part of our ranks since he was just five years old. He is Arsenal through and through, and he certainly made everyone associated with the club proud with his display on Thursday.

Azeez was only given seven minutes of action yesterday. Many fans felt Arteta should have brought him on much earlier and one of his actions on the pitch showed exactly why.

“I’m buzzing. I’m happy and overjoyed with the experience,” Azeez told Arsenal’s official website after the game.

“I will play with passion because I love the club. I’ve been here since the age of five so I’m an Arsenal fan through and through and obviously, I just want to give something back to the fans and play my best games every single day.”

That’s exactly what every Arsenal fan expects of a player that wears the red and white. Azeez has certainly caught the eye and many supporters feel that he is already better than Granit Xhaka.
