'Worse': Some Arsenal fans are furious with what Pogba did yesterday

Arsenal fans are still recovering from our 5-0 hammering at Manchester City where Granit Xhaka saw a red card, but Paul Pogba got away with something similar against Wolves yesterday.

The Gunners went two goals down in about 12 minutes and the game looked done at that point. To make things more certain, Xhaka lunged in with his studs up and got himself a red card.

To be fair to Xhaka, he very clearly got the ball. The challenge was arguably dangerous, but the sending off was extremely harsh, especially considering that not even a foul was awarded when Pogba did something similar yesterday.

Granit Xhaka vs Paul Pogba: Red card debate

Manchester United travelled to Wolves on Sunday and the game looked destined to end 0-0. However, Mason Greenwood scored the winner in the 80th minute, but what happened just before the goal has become the big talking point.

Ruben Neves stole the ball off Pogba’s feet and the Frenchman accidentally caught his knee in the process. The Portuguese international rolled around in pain, but the referee completely ignored him, and so did VAR.

Pictures of the incident show that Pogba did indeed catch Neves with his studs up, somewhat similarly to Xhaka’s challenge. The difference here is that the Arsenal man got the ball, while the French superstar only caught the opponent.

Sadly, one was deemed as a red card, while the other wasn’t even a foul. Xhaka diving in probably has something to do with it, but both challenges are equally dangerous and if one is a red card, the other has to be the same.
