Thierry Henry is widely regarded as Arsenal’s greatest ever player and Ashley Cole has become the latest to single out why.
Cole played alongside Henry at Arsenal for many seasons and both were part of the successful Invincibles side that went unbeaten.
Cole obviously moved onto pastures new when he got a switch to Chelsea, while Henry enjoyed success abroad with Barcelona and then in the MLS, before a return to The Emirates later in his career.
Answer honestly, are you worried about Arsenal’s mentality in the title race?
Is it a Mikel Arteta problem?
Of course, we’ve heard many reasons why Henry was brilliant and most of us have seen it as well.
However, Cole has explained just what made Henry so special in his eyes.

If there’s anyone who knows how good Henry was, then Cole is well placed to say having played with and against him.
In fact, any Premier League full-back will probably say the same.

Speaking on the Could It Be Magic podcast, Wayne Bridge was speaking about the players he’d have loved to have played with and referenced Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
“But when you get to see them day in, day out, like there’s one player I would have loved to have played with is Henry. As good as he was, I would have loved to have seen him day in, day out and played every game to see what he was like,” Wayne Bridge said.
When asked to confirm if Henry was the best player he played with, former Gunner’s left back Cole confirmed it.
“Yeah. I’m not saying in training he was like top, top, but when it came to the game, you just mesmerised by the things he would do. And people like Dennis as well, some of the things he does in training is just like out of this world.
“But Thierry on a Saturday to Saturday is just unreal what he used to do.”

Who Dennis Bergkamp recently named as his favourite Arsenal teammate
While most of us would expect people to say Thierry Henry was the best player, not everyone will go with him as their favourite teammate.
Indeed, that’s the route Dennis Bergkamp recently went when he selected Patrick Vieira as his best teammate.
What do you think Mikel Arteta said to Gabriel Martinelli behind the scenes after his miss vs Brentford?
Like Henry, Vieira’s selection is not surprising really and given the aggression Vieira played with and Bergkamp also had in his game, it fits well.
Still, Henry remains the most talented in most former players’ eyes.
