Arsenal have just made the Premier League title race a lot more interesting than it should have been by losing to Bournemouth.

The Gunners had the title race in their hands before the game, and they still do. However, if Manchester City win all of their remaining games and make sure they have a better goal difference, they will win the league.

Eli Junior Kroupi, who is a target for Arsenal, opened the scoring for the Cherries at the Emirates, but Viktor Gyokeres levelled the game in the first half. Tottenham fan Alex Scott then scored the winner for the visitors in the 74th minute.

This could prove to be a massive blow for Arsenal in the title race, and ex-Gunner Aaron Ramsey has now had his say.

Who was Arsenal’s worst performer against Bournemouth?

Ramsey was involved in a couple of Premier League title races while at Arsenal, and he won a Serie A title with Juventus when he went there.

The Welshman knows when a big opportunity is missed, and he feels that is exactly what happened at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Arsenal have blown the title race wide open by losing to Bournemouth, and we’re sure Pep Guardiola will be licking his lips now.

The Manchester City boss will definitely believe that his side can pip the Gunners to the title again, which would be a huge blow.

Ramsey admitted that his old side has missed a big chance, but he still believes there is a lot to happen this season.

He said on Premier League Productions: “It was an opportunity missed today to take the initiative (in the title race).

“Full credit to Bournemouth, they played with a lot of intensity, controlled the game in large periods and caused Arsenal a few problems.

“There’s still a long way to go, there’s still a few things to happen, but Arsenal can go to Man City next week, and focus needs to be on them.”

Arsenal have to beat Manchester City now

Arsenal had built up a cushion that gave them the luxury of losing to Manchester City and still winning the title, but that is now gone.

The game at the Etihad has now become a must-win clash for the Gunners.

A win won’t just be three points gained for Arsenal, but also three dropped for City, which could all but decide the title race.

Mikel Arteta needs to find a way to get one over his old boss. If he fails, Arsenal may have to settle for a second-place finish for the fourth season in a row.

We never agreed with the ‘bottling’ narrative in the last three years, but there will be no debate if it happens this time.
