Arsenal have just been beaten 3-2 by Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners could’ve re-established their seven-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League table, but Mikel Arteta’s men did not turn up.
Despite taking the lead, Arsenal conceded twice, either side of half-time, to Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu. Mikel Merino equalised, but Matheus Cunha sealed the game with a fine strike late on.
We expect Arteta to be raging in the dressing room, not just because his team lost but also because of the goals they conceded.
Who was Arsenal’s most disappointing player against Man United?
Explain your answer!
Arsenal conceded three goals in a game for the first time in 782 days
Arsenal’s biggest strength, in many people’s eyes, is their defence.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes have formed the best centre-back partnership in world football, and David Raya has been incredible behind them as well.
Those three players, with the help of a few others when they have filled in, helped Arsenal go on a run of 83 Premier League fixtures without conceding more than two goals in a game.

The last time the Gunners let in three was all the way back in December 2023 against Luton Town – 782 days ago.
Declan Rice’s late winner won Arsenal the game then, but Manchester United have just beaten them and thus brought an end to that brilliant run.
That must be heartbreaking for Arteta, as none of his players really stepped up to the occasion at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
We are sure there will be some stern words said by the Arsenal manager to the players behind the scenes after the defeat.
Who was at fault for Bryan Mbeumo’s goal vs Arsenal – Martin Zubimendi or William Saliba?
Arsenal’s worst fear could be about to come true
Arsenal can only blame themselves for their recent results.
Dropping points against Nottingham Forest was bad enough, but to lose again just a week later against Manchester United complicates things further.
The gap between Arsenal and Manchester City is down to just four points now, and they still have to play each other.
The title race could well be back on, and Pep Guardiola will surely be urging his players to put more pressure on the Gunners.
Arsenal’s worst fear is Manchester City pipping them to the title. That could be about to come true for the third time in four years if they are not careful.
