Eberechi Eze added to his England account against Serbia as he and Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka both got on the score sheet.

The Three Lions won 2-0 at Wembley Stadium, having already qualified for the 2026 World Cup and looking on course to make it eight wins from eight.

Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka scored either side of half-time to ensure Thomas Tuchel’s team collected another three points in World Cup qualifying.

During the match, Eze’s display had Arsenal supporters talking, and they now think his best position has been made very clear.

Arsenal fans think Eberechi Eze’s best position is left wing

Arsenal fans all believe that Eze’s best position is now as a left winger, as the Gunner impressed for England against Serbia.

It’s been a mixed start to life at the Emirates Stadium for Eze, who struggled in the 2-2 draw at Sunderland. Right now, Mikel Arteta is still trying to figure out his best role.

Eze, who has promised to improve at Arsenal, has now netted two goals in his last two appearances for England with a great strike against Serbia.

The 27-year-old produced a wicked first-time finish after Phil Foden slid the ball into his path on the edge of the penalty area.

The former Crystal Palace star came on after 64 minutes to replace Marcus Rashford, and he made a real nuisance of himself from the left-hand side.

For Arsenal, Eze has been forced to play in a central midfield role on the right, with Declan Rice taking his spot on the left.

Odegaard’s injury has meant that Eze has had to replace his certainty in the middle, but in truth, it just appears to have limited the England international.

During the second half, the Gunners’ supporters took to social media to make a strong point about Eze moving their summer signing to left wing.

One fan said: “It’s not long until Martin Odegaard returns and Arsenal will have Eberechi Eze gliding from the left into the half space and unleashing his magic.

“That LW position is going to have crazy competition, but this goal will be a huge confidence boost for him. Undeniable talent.”

“Eberechi Eze’s goal for England tonight shows he might be better suited at left wing for Arsenal,” added another.

There was yet more praise for his display on the left: “This Eze show for England today proves his best position is on the left wing. Arteta, you know what to do when Odegaard is back.”

Finally, another added: “Eze is just a different class on the left. Odegaard coming back soon will make our attack way more fluid!”

Arsenal Insider understands a left winger is on Andrea Berta’s list of targets in 2026, but that money could be saved with Eze set to play there.

Eberechi Eze’s superb performance for England

Eze’s superb performance for England has certainly given Tuchel some thinking to do about his best left-winger option ahead of next summer.

Rashford has been his preferred option so far, but Eze has been impressing for the Three Lions and was particularly strong against Serbia.

Eze will be hoping that once Arsenal’s captain is back from injury, he will get moved back into his preferred position on the left and to impress Tuchel.
