Arsenal fell to their first defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-0 at Bournemouth, in a frustrating game.
Mikel Arteta’s side were dealt a huge blow as William Saliba was sent off in the first half for denying a goalscoring opportunity, which now means the defender will miss Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool next week.
Goals from Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert then consigned Arsenal to defeat, in a game in which they offered very little attacking threat.
Arsenal were without Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard due to injury, but Leandro Trossard moved to the wings despite impressing in midfield recently. However, his performance was disastrous, and Arsenal fans are far from happy with him.

Arsenal fans furious at Leandro Trossard display vs Bournemouth
Trossard was heavily to blame for Saliba’s red card, as the centre-back was put in a difficult position after the Belgian fired a reckless aerial pass towards his own goal from the opposition half.
The 29-year-old was disappointing overall as he struggled on the wing before being substituted in the second half, and fans have taken to X to share their frustrations at his display.
“Trossard was the one who caused the Saliba red card. Maybe one day we’ll have a proper conversation about his actual performances rather than people letting his goals cloud judgment,” one fan posted.
“Trossard deserved to be subbed for that pass,” another claimed.
“Just wanna know what Trossard was thinking at this moment, bros at no point was Saliba a free man. This undoubtedly needs an explanation,” another stated.
Trossard recently impressed in a midfield role, and fans were baffled by Arteta’s decision to move him out wide.
“Not to mention that woeful pass from Trossard, Get that man off the wing, he legit can’t play there,” a fan added.
“Arteta needs to stop playing Trossard on the wing it’s enough now,” a fan fumed.
“Trossard has been awful today. Clearly isn’t suited to the left, cost us for the red, and doesn’t offer us much in either direction in this game state,” a fan pointed out.
Mikel Arteta must stop playing Leandro Trossard on the wing
Arsenal last dropped points against Manchester City, a game in which Trossard was sent off for a careless second yellow card after kicking the ball away.
With Trossard also to blame for Saliba’s red card, he has now cost Arsenal dearly in two moments which could prove vital for his side’s title challenge.
Arteta must now stop playing Trossard out wide. It is clear that he is better-suited to a central role, and when Martin Odegaard returns from injury, it can also be argued that Trossard has not done enough to keep his place in the team.
