Arsenal suffered another blow to their Premier League title hopes as they slumped to a 1-1 draw against Fulham on Sunday.
The Gunners dominated possession and territory for the majority of the match, but struggled to create clear cut chances from open play.
Mikel Arteta’s side went behind against the run of play with only around ten minutes on the clock, as Raul Jimenez fired past David Raya. Arsenal fans felt that Jakub Kiwior was at fault for the goal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal lacked such efficiency themselves at the other end of the pitch, where Kai Havertz was leading the line.
The German was caught offside unnecessarily on a couple of occasions, and was also on his heels and unable to attack the six-yard box when Bukayo Saka flashed a number of dangerous balls across the face of goal.

Arsenal fans slam Kai Havertz after Fulham draw
Many Arsenal fans on X were furious with Havertz’s performance at Craven Cottage, as Arteta’s side failed to put real pressure on Liverpool in the title race with a win.
Some supporters even demanded that a new striker be signed in the upcoming January transfer window, with Havertz being demoted to a back up role in the squad.
One said: “I can’t believe Arsenal have given Saka a supporting cast of Havertz, Martinelli and Trossard and expect to win a major trophy.”
Another stated: “This is all Arteta’s fault by the way. Signing strikers who can’t shoot like Havertz and Jesus and midfielder who can’t create like Merino.”
Another insisted: “Man we need a striker so badly can’t rely on Havertz or Jesus, don’t mention sterling.”
One fan begged: “Please buy a striker Havertz can’t do it for us He is never there for Saka’s crosses.”
Do Arsenal need to sign a striker in January?
Arsenal have been linked with a host of strikers, and signing a truly clinical finisher has to be at the top of Arteta’s shopping list.
However, whether or not the Gunners can afford to invest in a player of such calibre this winter remains to be seen.
The Gunners certainly need additional competition in this part of the pitch. Whilst Havertz is inconsistent, Gabriel Jesus’ form has fallen off a cliff. The Brazilian forward has not netted in the Premier League since January and is entirely bereft of confidence in front of goal.
Whatever kind of transfer kitty Arsenal can scrape together, they need to invest all they can in a new striker as soon as possible.
