Kai Havertz returned to the starting XI in a Premier League game for the first time this season as Arsenal hammered Leeds at Elland Road.
The Gunners cruised to a much-needed victory in the end as goals from Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Jesus and an own goal did the business.
A welcome clean-sheet was also achieved, although a warm-up injury to Bukayo Saka put a downer on proceedings.

Nevertheless, the returning Kai Havertz was a cause for celebration for Arsenal fans. The German made his first league start since serious injury, as many expected him to build on some positive cameos so far.
However, Havertz was pretty underwhelming and over on social media, Arsenal fans made their feelings known.
Arsenal fans unhappy with Kai Havertz after beating Leeds 4-0
Football fans are hard to please at times and this is just another prime example of things.
Yes, Havertz was pretty quiet but in the end, the team won comfortably and Havertz was a part of that.
Still, that didn’t stop the critics over on X having their say and it’s safe to say some are disappointed in what they saw from the German.
“Havertz is being a passenger here. Why can’t Eze start these games, again?” one fan suggested after seeing Havertz’s performance.
While others criticised his performance as a midfielder.
“What is Kai Havertz still doing in this match. He is just useless”
“Havertz certainly doesn’t offer any more than Odegaard in midfield.”
Sum up Kai Havertz’s performance at Leeds in THREE words…
The theme around playing Ebere Eze instead continuing, as one fan called for the £60m signing to start instead.
“Havertz hasn’t done anything all game btw…FREE EZE!”
While not to be completely ignored, Martin Odegaard was brought into the conversation as a comparison for Havertz’s display.
“This havertz performance is literally an Odegaard one. no where to seen, just running around doing nothing”
Over the top criticism of Kai Havertz is bordering on the ridiculous
Arsenal fans are welcome to their opinions on any player but come on, really?
Sitting top of the league and with a comfortable 4-0 win under our belts, are we still really witnessing fans dig out a player who is literally returning from injury?
Who was your Arsenal Man of the Match vs Leeds United?
Kai Havertz is a class act, it’s that simple. Sure, he wasn’t at his flowing best today and didn’t get among the goals or assists.
But having Havertz back in the squad is massive and if Arsenal are to win this title, he will be just as important as any player.
