Arsenal’s interest in Julian Alvarez is gaining momentum almost every day.
Mikel Arteta’s side signed Viktor Gyokeres before the start of this season, but they remain keen on bringing in one more attacker in the summer transfer window.
Multiple reports have claimed that Alvarez is the player Arteta wants to sign, and Andrea Berta is already working on the deal.
The Arsenal sporting director has now formulated a plan that will potentially help his side win the race to sign the World Cup winner.
Prove me wrong, Julian Alvarez is still a player Arsenal should sign.
Andrea Berta plots swap deal to sign Julian Alvarez for Arsenal
Berta has proved to be a fantastic negotiator.
The Italian signed eight new players in the summer transfer window and has also extended the contracts of Gabriel Magalhaes, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri, and, most recently, Max Dowman, who penned his scholarship deal on Friday.
Berta, who has been in the game for over two decades, knows exactly how to strike deals, and he seems to have already come up with a plan for Julian Alvarez.
TeamTalk have revealed that Arsenal have discussed the possibility of offering Gabriel Jesus or Gabriel Martinelli as makeweight in a deal to sign the Atletico Madrid star.

The two Brazil internationals have been linked with moves away from the club, and the plan is to offer one of them to Atleti in exchange for Alvarez.
The report further claims that Arsenal’s willingness to offer a top player in exchange could give them an edge in the race to sign the striker.
The last time Arsenal were involved in a swap deal was when Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez switched clubs in January 2018 – eight years ago.
That was a disaster, but we have a feeling that Alvarez will be a game-changing signing for Arsenal if Berta can get him in.
What is the highest fee you would pay to sign Julian Alvarez for Arsenal?
Is he worth more than Declan Rice?👀
An Arsenal swap deal for Julian Alvarez makes a lot of sense
Alvarez is one of the best forwards in the world.
The Argentina international can play anywhere in attack and has a proven record of scoring goals for clubs and country.
Signing Alvarez will be expensive – he will cost over £87 million. It is unclear if Arsenal would be willing to pay such a high fee after spending a fortune last summer.
For that reason, including Jesus or Martinelli, or both, in a deal to sign the Atletico Madrid star would make this a cost-effective deal.
Furthermore, Berta knows Atleti better than any club, and if anyone can convince them to accept this deal, it is him.
