The feelings Arsenal fans are experiencing after the Gunners’ clash with Wolves don’t align with a win.
Mikel Arteta was frustrated at full-time and rightly so, as Arsenal were terrible against bottom-of-the-table Wolves.
The West Midlands club arrived at the Emirates with just two points, having conceded 33 goals in the Premier League already, but they looked like a better side than the hosts.
Arsenal failed to have a shot on target in the first half against Wolves, highlighting a major problem for Arteta to solve.

Arsenal fans are frustrated with Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard
Arsenal’s attack looked completely stumped against Wolves, appearing as though they were out of ideas from the off.
It was a dire showing as the ball was constantly moved in a horseshoe shape, with barely a moment of excitement produced.
Arsenal fans think they know why the excitement wasn’t there, as creative assets Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard were criticised at full-time.
“ZERO creativity in midfield. Need a Cazorla / Silva / De Bruyne / Mahrez type player. Eze was poor & Odegaard was,” one fan wrote on X.
Another supporter mentioned the competition between the two players to claim the number ten role.
“Sometimes you don’t even know who to back between Eze and Odegaard, cause both of them will just not deliver,” they said.
Who is ending the season with more goal contributions? Eberechi Eze or Martin Odegaard?
The Eze and Odegaard debate will go on and on until Arteta finds a solution, with some fans thinking that what’s needed is for the duo to be fused together.
“Eze makes you crave for Odegaard’s ball progression and Odegaard also makes you crave for Eze’s ability to shoot,” one fan said.
Another agreed, “I think the Odegaard vs Eze debate is missing the point. Arsenal need balance. Odegaard controls games. Eze adds risk and goals. We need both over a season.”
What was seen against Wolves, however, wasn’t a showing of individual strengths, but one that had fans demanding more.
“Odegaard and Eze walking around doing nothing productive. Negative ballers,” one fan said.
Another supporter called the pair ‘abysmal’, while a fellow Arsenal follower claimed that the Gunners’ only dependable creator is Leandro Trossard.
Who was your Arsenal Man of the Match against Wolves?
Did any Arsenal player impress you?
“Eze poor; okay let’s bring in Odegaard… Poor also. We don’t have a creative outlet other than Trossard who we can depend on for individual brilliance.”
The performances of Odegaard and Eze also had fans feeling for Ethan Nwaneri, who can’t get a game, despite the terrible form of his competitors.
“Odegaard btw absolutely no difference when he came on for eze. Really feel for nwaneri.”
One fan raised that it’s not the first time the two playmakers have been poor.
“Odegaard/Eze are just rubbish in the last few games. Bunch of clowns.”
Pressure on Mikel Arteta to change Arsenal’s attacking approach
While during the match, all eyes were, regrettably, on Odegaard and Eze, now that the drama has concluded, attention turns to Arteta.
It’s becoming clear that the Arsenal manager doesn’t just have a decision to make regarding who he starts at number ten, but also one regarding how the Gunners build play in general.
You can send Mikel Arteta one message after the Wolves win, what is it?
There was no feeling of excitement when Arsenal went forward, and that is a problem if the North Londoners want to win the Premier League.
Arteta needs to find a solution to his creative issues, whether it be a personnel change or a tactical one.
What, on paper, looked to be a routine win turned into a painful declaration of Arsenal’s creative struggles; something has to give.
