Ben White made a rare start for Arsenal when they faced Olympiacos in the Champions League.
The England international spent a long time on the sidelines due to injuries last season, and he missed a couple of games this term as well.
Jurrien Timber is the undisputed first-choice at right back now, but every Arsenal fan knows just how good White is.
On Wednesday night, in what was White’s third start of the season, the defender looked a bit rusty and wasn’t at his best at all.
Arsenal supporters have had their say on White’s performance now.

Arsenal fans deliver verdict on Ben White’s performance vs Olympiacos
Ben White will be the first one to admit that he wasn’t at his best against Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Here’s how some Arsenal fans reacted to his performance…
One Arsenal fan tweeted: “Thought Ben White showed some nice moments with his passing but certainly looks a little rusty defensively.”
Another wrote: “Starting to worry about Ben White. Looks nowhere near the level.”
“Injuries have taken a toll on Ben White,” said another.
Another Gooner posted: “Ben White needs to get back in form. It will take some time. Hopefully by November, he’ll be cookin’. But Timber beats him in all aspects of the game.”
“The version of Ben White now makes me sad. Injuries have taken their toll, and I’m not sure we’ll see the same player we saw a few seasons ago. He probably needs a run of games, but how do you get that with arguably the best RB in world football at your club?” said another.
Ben White needs more game time at Arsenal
White has played through injuries many times for Arsenal over the years.
When Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu were both out injured, the Englishman played almost every game, and that took its toll.
White is fit now, but he is not at his best level yet. That will come once he starts playing more games.
Timber is rightly the number one now and will be difficult to replace. But White will get his chances in the domestic cups and some Champions League fixtures.
Once he reaches his best level, it will be interesting to see how the competition between the two Arsenal right-backs will be.
