Erling Haaland has a difficult relationship with Arsenal fans.

Every Gooner will admit that he is one of the best players in the Premier League, but some of his antics over the years have made him pretty unlikable.

From telling Mikel Arteta to ‘stay humble’ to bouncing the ball off Gabriel Magalhaes’ head, Haaland has annoyed Arsenal supporters over the years.

Now, Bruno Guimaraes has hit back at Haaland for some of his comments ahead of Brazil’s World Cup clash against Norway.

Arsenal target Bruno Guimaraes says Erling Haaland is ‘cunning’

Erling Haaland is being very smart at the World Cup.

The Norwegian has been making it a point to tell everyone that his team are underdogs before going into a game.

Haaland did that just before the clash against France, and now, ahead of the game against Brazil, he has once again pushed all the pressure towards Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Guimaraes, who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, did not like that one bit and has branded the Manchester City striker as ‘cunning’ after listening to his comments.

He said, as per Goal: “He is very cunning in what he says. He takes all the responsibility off them and puts it on us.

“To be very honest, I don’t care much about what people do. Football is decided on the field. Eleven against eleven. It’s going to be a great game, hard-fought. They have their qualities too. Tall players, they will try crosses. We have to be smart.

“He is cunning; he is taking the pressure off them. We have to be prepared.”

Gabriel Magalhaes would love Bruno Guimaraes at Arsenal

Gabriel Magalhaes is one of those players who will do absolutely everything to win.

The Brazilian has often put his body on the line to stop teams from scoring against Arsenal. He is an incredible defender, and strikers hate playing against him.

What also makes Gabriel very lovable is the way he winds opposition players up before, during and after games.

Guimaraes is very similar in that regard, and with a shared rivalry against Haaland now, we’re sure they will love being teammates at club level.

Whether Arsenal can sign him, however, remains to be seen.
